March News
- Keep on top of your student's grade by checking ABI regularly and contacting me with your questions or concerns (e-mail is best!) Quarter 3 progress report grades were sent home on Friday, February 26th. Please return signed report card envelopes as soon as possible.
- We recently looked over Quarter 2 grades and made new pre-algebra goals for the 3rd Quarter. Students will carry the Quarter Goal Sheet in the math section of their binder. Please discuss with your student how you can assist them in achieving their goals throughout this quarter.
- We are currently studying Graphs & Functions. Students will learn how to graph linear, quadratic, & cubic functions. We will understand how to graph a linear equation using the slope-intercept form. The Unit 7 Test will be taken THIS FRIDAY. All students are invited to take part in a study group this Thursday after school from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Continue encouraging your student to develop strong study habits by turning work in complete and on time! Absent students should always try to return to school with their missed assignments completed so they don't fall behind!
- The second math benchmark was taken on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. This test shows a student's growth toward mastering the 7th grade mathematics standards. Students have charted their first two benchmark scores on the Student Growth Sheet in their math portfolio. Ask your student about their benchmark scores!
